SaneLot Privacy Policy

SaneLot provides inventory, listing, website, and lead tools for independent vehicle dealers. SaneLot does not sell personal information or use dealer or buyer data for third-party advertising.

Information SaneLot processes

• Dealer account and team information, including email address, role, authentication tokens, sessions, and device-pairing records.
• Vehicle inventory, VINs, pricing, mileage, cost and recon entries, listing text, status, and vehicle photos.
• Buyer inquiries submitted to a dealer, which may include name, phone number, email address, financing or trade-in details, and vehicle preferences.
• Push-notification device tokens when a dealer enables lead alerts.
• Operational security records needed to prevent abuse and diagnose failed requests.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate dealer users, publish and update dealer inventory, run requested VIN and listing checks, display dealer websites, route buyer inquiries to the selected dealer, send enabled alerts, and provide support. VIN decoding and recall lookups use NHTSA services. Optional title-history checks use the configured records provider.

Photos and camera

The camera is used when a dealer scans a VIN or photographs a vehicle. Selected or captured vehicle photos are uploaded to the dealer's SaneLot storage when the dealer chooses to process or publish them.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. SaneLot does not receive full payment-card details.

Sharing

SaneLot shares information only with service providers needed to operate the product, the dealer whose website or account received the information, and authorities when legally required. SaneLot does not sell buyer leads.

Retention and deletion

Inventory and account records are retained while needed to operate the dealer account, preserve dealer-requested sold-history comps, meet security or legal obligations, or resolve support issues. Dealers may request access, correction, export assistance, or deletion by emailing hi@saneapps.com. Some records may be retained when required by law or for legitimate security and dispute-resolution needs.

Security

SaneLot uses HTTPS, tenant-scoped data access, revocable sessions, and protected API routes. No internet service can promise absolute security.
